H-van History & Restoration

First manufactured in 1947 with front wheel drive and a 3 speed gearbox. The 'H' van changed little until its production ended in 1981.

This particular van is a 1972 long wheel base, originally registered in the Vendee area of France and put to use by a milliner market trader. When the van was found it had been resting under a tree for two years and had become the home to field mice, birds and snails.Thankfully the structure was quite sound and having put in a new floor and done some welding work I set about fitting the interior
